The Truth About Stress: the Mind-Body Connection
Is stress a friend or an enemy? In this workshop, we will answer this question and many more about what we perceive as stress. We will explore the power of our beliefs, as well as effective modern strategies in order to deal with daily stress with comfort and ease. If you feel anxiety and depletion in life and don't understand why or how to deal with it, then this is for you. Expect discussion, reflection, and a short gentle practice.
Calm and Stability: in Practice, in Life
Bringing insight from the morning lecture to application in your yoga practice will enrich and support your new discoveries in dealing with daily stressors. We will learn about moon practices and how they are effective at targeting stress by establishing ourselves in present moment awareness of who we really our. You will experience a deeply grounding practice that includes skillfully designed asana, pranayama, and meditation.
Restorative Yoga with Hot Stones
Release deep-seated tension, clear the mind, and encourage the nervous system into balance with Restorative yoga. Restorative yoga is a gentle practice comprised of long-held supported poses, calming and rejuvenating breath work, and guided meditation. Hot Stones aid in relaxation and healing, while adding a luxurious touch to the practice. Everyone can benefit from this therapeutic practice, from mothers in need of quiet time to high-energy athletes. Restorative yoga leads to a much deeper state of relaxation than traditional sleep and will promote joyful awakenings.

Life de-Stressed, the Ayurvedic Way
Regain your sense of control and balance using the tools of yoga's sister science Ayurveda. Discussion includes nutritional information and guidelines for dealing with stress from an Ayurvedic perspective. Supportive Ayurvedic churnas, ghee and other goodies will be available to sample.
Balanced Life: a Vata-Calming Practice
We would all feel better and our bodies would function more efficiently and digest more effectively if we incorporated practices that help soothe overactive vata (air/wind element). During these two-and-a-half hours your will experience a practice designed to calm a vata mind. Yoga Nidra delight included!
