Walking Massage

This workshop originates from the Ayurvedic Tradition. The Ayurvedic Walking Massage is a quick and thorough partner massage, where the main meridian lines (recognized in eastern and western massage therapy) are targeted. The meridian lines are the channels in between the muscles, through which prana flows. In the Ayurvedic tradition these channels are known as ‘nadis’ or rivers.

In this workshop you will receive an introduction to Ayurveda, and be able to identify the meridians of the body. After this workshop, you will be able to properly target these meridians and perform the proper formula of the walking massage. The walking massage is a great way to target these meridians, because the weight of the whole body can be used, and your hands will not get tired when performing this massage.

You may come to this workshop with a partner, or solo and make a new friend. Because we will be using the feet to perform the massage, please come to the workshop bathed. The workshop will be at 2pm, in order to give the body enough time to digest lunch, so please eat light and do not eat at least one hour prior to the workshop or you will feel discomfort in your belly.
