The theme for the 2018 yoga teacher training (YTT) at Adya is "Vitality Uncovered." This theme refers to the innate flame of wisdom, will power, and light that is the the source of your being. In sanskrit it is referred to as "vishoka jyotir." Tapping into this vitality awakens limitless creative potential, vision of your unique purpose, and the will power to step forward on the path you desire. We invite you to join us on this journey, to learn deeply about yourself and how you can skillfully guide others on the path of yoga and meditation.
Our YTT meets every other weekend January through May. Weekends include lecture/discussion, experiential learning, practice teaching, and more. New this year, our YTT includes a weekend retreat at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA and weekend immersion at Adya with Katie Silcox.
Adya's 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training program is a designated Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. Our training includes vinyasa, hatha, and gentle yoga influenced by the Para Yoga lineage of Rod Stryker. You will learn how to teach a safe, intentional, and effective yoga class to a wide population base; learn the history, philosophies, and evolution of yoga; how to choose a yoga and meditation practice that is just right for you (and your clients), and meet other like-minded individuals seeking to deepen their understanding and experience of yoga. Additionally, Adya recognizes the inseparable nature of yoga and ayurveda, and in doing so includes foundation teachings of ayurveda in our YTT.
