Manchester Neighborhood Tour + YogaHike

One of our favorite events of the season AND an opportunity to support local businesses while meeting new friends, connecting with old friends, and getting healthy! This neighborhood tour starts with a yoga practice at Artworks, an industrial building exhibiting the creations of local RVA artists. From there you will explore the Manchester neighborhood, including stops at a cafe, an art gallery, a theatre, and more! You are invited to join us for an early dinner at Croaker's Spot (not included in price) following the YogaHike event!

Sunset YogaHike at Libby Hill

Richmond's own Becky Eschenroeder will be leading this "back by popular demand" YogaHike event beginning at Libby Hill Park. Your explorations will include the neighborhood of Church Hill, Chimborazo Park, and, for the adventurous among you, the historic Church Hill Tunnel that runs underneath Church Hill. The cherry on top of your "Sundae" of exploration is a sunset yoga practice led by Becky atop Libby Hill Park. Wake up from your relaxation to witness the sun setting on another day, giving way to a brand new beginning.

Family YogaHike at 3 Lakes Park

Happy Father's Day! Bring the family out to Three Lakes Park, a hidden gem in RVA, to play, explore, learn, love, and practice yoga with another gem of Richmond, Becky Eschenroeder! Becky will be your story-teller, tour guide, and yoga leader in this fun experience for all ages. This is a great way for young families to spend some quality time with dad on his special day. Three Lakes also has an innovative interactive nature center the kids will enjoy exploring before or after the YogaHike. The Nature Center is open noon-4:30 Sundays.

YH at Brown's Island and T-Pot Bridge

Brown's Island is a Richmond landmark that draws millions of people every year to its rich history, panoramic views, community festivals, water sports, and quiet space for quality family time. A  new feature of Brown's Island is the Tyler Potterfield (T-Pot) Bridge. This YogaHike will lead you across the civil was history notated on the northern tip of the bridge and across the James River to the Manchester climbing wall. Following a jaunt along the southern flood wall and across the Mayo Bridge you will find yourself back at Brown's Island for a summertime yoga experience. Call a friend a make a date!

YH at VA War Memorial and Hollywood Cemetery (Memorial Day Sunday)

The VA War Memorial was built in 1955 to honor the fallen heroes of WWII and the Korean War. Over time, tributes to fallen heroes of other wars have been added and the facility expanded to an 18000 sq ft education center to ensure sacrifice and service to country is never forgotten. This YogaHike event will start and end at the VA War Memorial, with a hike through the rolling hills of Hollywood Cemetery in between. You experience will be complete with a reflective yoga practice on the theme of love and sacrifice. If you choose, you can visit the education center at the Memorial. A portion of your YogaHikes payment will be donated to the VA War Memorial.

Family YogaHike at Maymont Park (Happy Mother's Day!)

Open to humans of all ages who want to celebrate and honor the special women in their life on this day, our season kick-off YogaHike event takes place at Maymont Park. Come explore the thoughtfully designed gardens and playful yoga practice led by Natalie. Adya's favorite talented musician Aaron will be compelling you with his intuitive live music as you practice and play.If you choose to stick around after the YogaHike event, check out Maymont's Farm and Nature Center or the Gilded Age Mansion. Make this a family Mother's Day experience everyone will remember and cherish!
